Who We Help

People usually find Stillpoint when something hasn't resolved the way they hoped. Our therapists are trained to listen with their hands. With light, attentive touch they notice subtle shifts in tension, warmth and rhythm, and they follow your body's own response. The work reaches past the muscle to the layers where body, mind and emotion meet, and every session is led by your comfort and consent.
You may be a good fit for our work if any of these sound familiar:
Pain that has stayed with you. Discomfort that has lasted for months or years, or keeps coming back no matter what you try.
Healing that has plateaued. You've made progress with other care, but it has stalled. Our multi-hands sessions, with two therapists working together, are a great option for unresolved complicated pain cases, trauma, and healing that has plateaued.
Recovery after an injury, accident or surgery. A car accident, a slip or fall, or a procedure that left your body feeling guarded, tight or not quite your own. Gentle, attentive work around scar tissue and areas of restriction can be part of your recovery, alongside your other care.
Stress held in the body. Tension that settled into your jaw, neck, shoulders or breathing and never left. Slow, attentive touch helps your nervous system settle.
Pregnancy and after. Pre- and post-natal sessions that adjust as your body changes.
Working with your healthcare team. We welcome referrals from physicians, physical therapists, dentists and chiropractors, and your provider is welcome to be part of the plan. Your session will be tax exempt if manual therapy has been prescribed by a physician, physical therapist, dentist or chiropractor. HSA Plans and Flex Spending Plans include manual therapy treatments. Our work supports your medical care. It does not replace it.
Athletes
The Stillpoint therapists work with athletes at all levels: High School, Collegiate, Professional, and Amateur. You train hard, and maximum effort asks a lot of your body. Our therapists listen for tension, shortened muscles and guarding before they slow you down, and support your body's own recovery between training and competition. Whether you're sore, coming back from an injury, or simply want to keep doing what you love, we'll build your sessions around your season.
Testimonials
"Jackie and I have be closely affiliated for the last two years. In that time she has been highly effective in providing treatment and education to myself and multiple members of the Kent State Track and Field Team. She has tremendous knowledge when working with athletes and has continued to allow our athletes to arrive to meets healthy. I consider her and the staff at Stillpoint Therapeutics a valuable asset to our athletes training needs"
Phil R. - Kent State Track Coach
"I am an umpire of DI, II and III Women's Lacrosse where speed, agility and endurance are essential. After suffering through several seasons of plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis and, sadly, having a couple seasons cut short due to these as well as other sports injuries, I was feeling pretty discouraged. Jackie changed all of that! Since scheduling regular appointments with Jackie, I have completed every game of the season! As an athlete, herself, and a former engineer, she possesses the empathy, knowledge and understanding of how an athlete's body functions. Jackie is a gifted massage therapist with a passion for her profession as well as taking care of her clients. She is also the ultimate professional with a kind, gentle and respectful way about her. As you can see, I can't say enough about Jackie. Don't hesitate to make an appointment with her - your body will thank you!"
